One of our regular German customers had to replace an old lifting device in a laminator – a machine for coating photovoltaic modules – at short notice. The reason for this was the incorrect estimation of the load on the lever arm. The previous gearbox design proved to be correspondingly undersized.
Over the course of a technical consultation, our field service associate Sami Peters presented the machine manufacturer with a classic ZIMM solution in arrangement M. Four ZE-25-RN screw jacks now replace the wire cable hoist in the existing machine. Convinced of the performance of the lifting movement, the customer will only use this new solution in the future and dispense with the old one. A total of 14 new plants are to be equipped with this system.
The mechanical engineering company is a long-standing customer using ZIMM products with conviction and trust in our service. Moreover, the short response time for this job is to be highlighted. It took less than two months from the submission of the offer to the acceptance of the laminator following conversion.
